Motio Helse
MOTIO is a new digital health service designed for employees experiencing musculoskeletal pain or mild mental health issues -a group that accounts for over 40 percent of sick leave in Norway.
The causes of such issues are complex and closely linked to lifestyle factors such as inactivity, sleep, chronic stress, and conditions in the work environment.
At MOTIO, vi address the root causes of these challenges. Our goal is to create lasting lifestyle changes that will, over time, lead to improved physical and mental health, reduced pain, and enhanced quality of life.
Epiguard
EpiGuard AS is an innovative Norwegian medical technology company established in 2015 by a group of doctors at the Oslo University Hospital with a medical background that ranges from intensive care, infectious diseases, internal medicine, anaesthesiology including transport medicine. After successful recovery of a colleague that contracted Ebola, the group found that existing isolation systems did not provide the necessary protection or treatment options. Their knowledge and expertise made it possible to develop a unique product which in 2020 became the gold standard for transport of patients with highly infectious diseases.
The product is a medical isolation and transportation unit – the EpiShuttle. It provides maximum safety during transport of infectious patients, protecting both patient and the medical personnel. International connections with healthcare professionals and distributors from all around the world and extraordinary efforts of EpiGuards’ team, made the unimaginable possible - over 200 EpiShuttles produced in 2020, and even more planned for this year. Currently, there are more than 300 EpiShuttles in operation assisting healthcare systems around the world in handling the epidemic.
To maintain the high quality level, experts at EpiGuard are constantly developing and improving products while meeting the international standards in the medical transport industry. In 2019, the company received a EUR 2.495.000 grant from the European Union and proved to be worthy of attention in these unstable times. In recent European Commission publication, the EpiShuttle was described as a “life – saving innovation”– an expression on which EpiGuard feels extremely proud and humbled by and continues to be guided by the same core values – safety and protection.

ExAC was founded in 2019 and is developing an interactive, digital education program, a simulation equipment and a medical device that will improve healthcare workers treatment of severe bleeding after delivery.
Globally 300 000 women die yearly due to pregnancy and birth. Severe bleeding after delivery (postpartum hemorrhage, PPH) is a serious obstetric emergency and is the single most important cause of maternal mortality globally.
ExAC has a highly qualified and dedicated team and the startup has received significant support form Innovation Norway.

Eker Design
Eker Design is the number one and highly dedicated A-Z design house offering all services from the initial sketch to the final product. We are a leading provider of turnkey mechanical and industrial design, founded in 1996 by Bård Eker. Our services include design, engineering, prototyping and pre-production.
Eker Design has developed a broad specter of products in many different markets from automotive and maritime, to consumer and healthcare. Eker Design has also been the complete supplier to the MedTech company EpiGuard in design, development and preproduction of the EpiShuttle. The EpiShuttle is still manufactured at our premises in Fredrikstad.
